Geneva, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 – In order to offer Geneva’s population a wide range of running training opportunities, the Ville d’Onex and the Commune de Confignon are offering 3 new courses on their territories. Following the inauguration of new courses in Plan-les-Ouates, two additional communes are joining the project. The official inauguration, attended by local authorities, the local population and representatives of the Course de l’Escalade organizing committee, took place on Tuesday September 5 in the Parc de la Mairie in Onex.
Training for the next Course de l’Escalade or other running events, through Vieux-Onex and up to La Gavotte, is now possible.
The Ville d’Onex and the Commune de Confignon are committed to the well-being of their populations by organizing numerous sporting events and maintaining high-quality infrastructures. As part of their respective sports policies, they are now hosting 3 new training courses, 1.4km, 2.4km and 2.6km long.

The Administrative Councillor in charge of sport in Confignon invites the public to use these courses:
” We’re proud to host such a training course for the traditional Geneva race. This marked route also invites the Geneva population to discover this part of our territory on the banks of the Aire, and now offers novices the chance to take up running all year round.. “
