Introduction of registration limits per race

The growth in the number of registrations for the Course de l’Escalade is an extremely pleasing and positive development, and a source of great pride and satisfaction for the Organising Committee. However, given the route of the Course de l’Escalade, it has to be said that the streets of Geneva’s old town cannot be stretched to the limit.

The Organising Committee has therefore decided to set maximum limits on the number of people who can start the race. This measure aims to maintain the quality of the organisation while preserving the comfort and sporting experience of every participant. By making the flow of runners more fluid, safety can also be better ensured.

Despite these limitations, the race will continue to welcome more and more participants. New starts have been added to compensate for the reduced capacity of the blocks, while still being able to welcome more people to the event and meet the growing demand.

Change of timetable on Saturday

For logistical reasons and to improve the quality of the course for its participants, the organisers have also decided to review the Saturday programme. The day will start with the 2-laps block races in the morning, followed by the junior races as usual. The 3-laps block races will start in the early afternoon.

All the timetables are now available by clicking here. The Committee urges you to share this information with others to avoid mistakes on the day and to register early to ensure your participation.
